Richard Adams was born in Hampshire in 1960. He studied illustration at Leicester Polytechnic and after graduating moved to London where he worked as a freelance illustrator during the 1980's winning many awards for his illustration art work.
His early years were spent in the South Cotswolds. This time in the English countryside has had an ongoing influence on his paintings and art prints. Many of Richard Adamís limited edition prints are set in the countryside often featuring the village and farming life of a bygone era. The port of Rye and the Sussex countryside also feature heavily in his art prints as does the Cornish coast and more recently the Devon countryside.
